Have you seen the unknown giant tomato on foodrecap.net. I said I was going to save its seeds and plant it on balcony (on plant pots of course). However, my wife said it was a hybrid tomato so the seeds were not going to germinate or it need a special treatment to sprout. If it did germinate, the resulting tomato fruit would be different.

Still did sow the seed on a pot with the soil covered with thin layer of vermicast. It germinated after four days.

See the emerging plants. They have violet stalks.

I am going to continue observing its progress.
