I always want a high-end mouse but some reasons seem holding me back.
1) First and foremost, durable mouse are expensive. The budget on hand does not permit acquiring such expensive mouse.
2) Too many features. Regular only have three buttons, the left click, the right click and the roller/middle click. Expensive version often have two to three extra buttons for internet browsing. Extra buttons are often useless.
3) A separate set of driver. All mouse are plug and play. Connect the cord to free socket and forget it. Use it until eternity. Expensive version on the other hand will work but need a separate driver to activate the extra features.
4) OS compatibility. Most computer hardware are designed for Windows OS. Special mouse might not fully supported on Linux distributions.
5) It is durable. Using the mouse for three long years seems boring.
6) Cord is the weakness. This happen to me several times. My high end mouse cord got broken. What else can I do with it? The mouse will not work if the cord is broken.
